Look up any NYC daycare's city inspections, in plain English
Picking a daycare in this city is a lot, and the city's inspection records are public but a pain to dig through. This site takes the Health Department's own data for all 2,748 licensed group and school-based child care programs and puts each one on a page you can read in 30 seconds: what got written up, when, how serious, and how it compares to the places down the block.
Every page shows how serious each violation was, whether it was still open or got corrected, and whether it was a repeat. Supervision, ratio and safe-sleep problems go at the top. What the violation types mean · Parent questions

Heads up on dates: the program list is current (city updated it Oct 17, 2026), but the city's published inspection records stop at Apr 24, 2023. Grades are based on that history. We say so on every page.
Not seeing a home daycare? NYC has two kinds of licensed care. Centers (group child care and school-based programs) are licensed and inspected by the city Health Department, and those are what's here. Home daycares (family and group family day care) are licensed by New York State OCFS. Look those up on the state's search.
No opinions here. Every fact comes from the city, with a link back to the source. Grades follow one simple rule you can check yourself on how we grade.
